Viva - the South Yorkshire Arts Consortium

We are delighted to announce that Viva – the South Yorkshire Arts Consortium will be officially launched on Tuesday 2 February 2010.

The consortium has been set up with the mission to develop a sustainable consortium of arts organisations within South Yorkshire in order to maximise funding opportunities, raise the quality of the cultural offer, share resources and work effectively together.

Our Director Clare McManus is one of the founding Directors of the consortium alongside:
Ashley Barnes (Dead Earnest Theatre)
Jon Maiden (Point Blank Theatre)
Mary Turner (Action Space Mobile)

Modernisation Fund - consultant's brief

Living Places regional seminar series

Clare will be speaking at the Living Places Culture and Sport Planning Toolkit regional seminar in Dewsbury on 14 October, organised by the Town and Country Planning Association.
She will be giving a joint presentation with Karen Durham, Regional Partnerships Officer, Arts Council England Yorkshire. The focus of Clare's presentation will be on our Creative Places programme - our joint initiative with Sheffield City Council and Arts Council England Yorkshire.

Clare will be speaking at the Living Places Culture and Sport Planning Toolkit regional seminar in Dewsbury on 14 October, organised by the Town and Country Planning Association.

The CSPT is an essential source of information and advice for all practitioners involved in planning. It provides practical guidance to incorporate planning for culture and sport into new and existing developments.

Culture and sports policy professionals and local and regional planners will come together to learn how to ensure that leisure, arts and heritage provision can be built into their own regeneration and development plans.
