Eventus works with a range of strategic and funding partners.
Arts Council England works to get more art to more people in more places. They develop and promote the arts across England, acting as an independent body at arm's length from government. They believe that the arts have the power to change lives and communities, and to create opportunities for people throughout the country.
In addition to our work on Creative Places, Eventus is pleased to work closely with the Arts Council on advocacy and strategic developments.
Eventus were one of the 2 Sheffield RFOs that took part in the Arts in Parliament Day in 2007 to advocate the importance of the arts to local MPs and we have been asked to speak at regional events to promote arts and sustainable communities.
We are also part of the Yorkshire Arts & Health Research Hub linking arts organisations and Higher Education institutions with a shared interest in arts in health.
Sheffield City Council provides a range of services for the 512,000 citizens of Sheffield.
The Creative Places partnership sees us working closely with the Council’s North, South and East Regeneration Teams. The Sheffield approach to Housing Market Renewal is not just about bricks and mortar. It’s about making neighbourhoods that work, that people are proud of, where people want to live and can stay, where people move around easily, and making places that build on existing environmental and community assets.
Eventus is currently acting as lead partner for a sheffield-based cultural consortium working to deliver Sheffield City Council's Kids Can Do summer activities programme for 8-13 year olds. As part of the consortium, Eventus will be managing the programme of events held throughout the city during summer and delivered by our partner organisations.
