Little Treasures
Little Treasures is an audience development action research project that set out to engage women aged between 45 – 60 who do not normally take part in arts activities.
The project was devised and delivered by Eventus for Cultivate on behalf of Derbyshire Arts Partnership Group (funded by Derbyshire County Council and Arts Council England).
Project participants developed photographic and digital imaging skills under the guidance of professional photographer Pam Gill. Working mainly from their homes and in community settings, the women captured themselves and their families in a series of photographic images that reflected their personal lives.
The resultant work celebrated and affirmed their own lives and family networks and was exhibited in community venues and shops around Killamarsh in May 2010.
