Eventus has worked closely with a number of Creative Partnerships with the objective of embedding creative thinking in schools, whilst engaging disaffected learners and raising standards through using creativity to challenge problems. Eventus aimed to equip teachers with the ability to work with creative practitioners in order to raise the aspirations and achievements of young people and provide them with the skills they need for the modern creative workplace. As a result of embedding creativity within teaching practices, Eventus enhanced each school’s approach to culture, creativity and partnership working, increasing the capacity for sustainable cultural development.
Eventus created the Associate Schools programme for CP Bolsover Ashfield and Mansfield (BAM) which emphasised teachers’ professional development through training sessions in developing project ideas and recruitment and selection of artists with continuing support throughout the projects. We also provided training for creative practitioners in Creative Partnership projects, planning documentation and budget requirements. We revised the national evaluation process for CP Sheffield and BAM and managed the process for CP BAM.
