We believe passionately in the power of the arts to transform individuals, communities and organisations.
Eventus is a not-for-profit company, limited by guarantee operating as a social enterprise, and is a member of Voluntary Action Sheffield (VAS).
Eventus is a National Portfolio Organisation of Arts Council England.
We work in many different ways, with many different partners, and encourage non-arts partners to use the arts.
Eventus advocates the role of arts and artists as well as influencing larger agendas. We create demonstration projects that showcase the role of artists. These include the Creative Places partnership between Eventus, Arts Council England Yorkshire and Sheffield City Council housing regeneration teams, which is now being rolled out to other departments, and the cross disciplinary participatory arts and academic research project Look at Me! Women and Ageing.
Eventus operates through community heritage engagement projects and work for the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) and specialises in community engagement.
Eventus is dedicated to the development of the arts infrastructure in South Yorkshire, while creating links to a broader cultural agenda of arts and heritage. We aim to create more work for artists and arts organizations through R&D Strategic Commissioning for Arts Council England Yorkshire, and Arts Consortium Development.
